Victoria Health Co-operative invites you to learn about your local co-ops at our Co-op Café Series. Every month we will feature a local co-operative that is doing good things for our community and discuss how the co-op model can lead positive change. Snacks and refreshements are provided for our guests!
We welcome the Co-operative Housing Federation of BC (CHF BC) as our co-host of the December Co-op Café.
CHF BC’s purpose is to expand non-profit co-op housing, to promote better housing conditions in BC, to share skills and information within the co-op housing sector, to represent co-op housing to governments and the public, and to promote the co-op movement and co-op principles across BC. They are the go-to hub for all things related to co-op living and are proudly independent – none of their annual revenue comes from the government. Members support their federation through annual membership dues and fees for a wide range of programs and services.

About the Co-op Café Series
From September 2018 until June 2019, each monthly session will provide an opportunity for you to learn more about how co-operatives are making a difference in Victoria. The Co-op Café events will feature retail, transportation, housing, food, social justice and additional financial co-ops in our community. We will also be hosting a political panel in March, and our January Cafe will be a movie night with popcorn. As a group, we will explore many interesting topics.
We invite you join the discussion and share your views about co-ops and how we can contribute to our communities. Enjoy refreshments and good company. Say “thank you” to the City of Victoria for sponsorship. Get the agenda for the next monthly Co-op Cafés. We are looking forward to collaborating with you!
